X3D-enabled Ponts

A most righteous fun X3D avatar app would be a blog comment reader. Conversations with faces. Scan people and build personality stylesheets. Custom per customer.

Shouldn't be that hard. It isn't full MU. It is a player with personality stylesheets for text/audio sequences. Simple really.

Why? Entertainment.

Bloggers are pontificators. Commenters are talking. :-) They enjoy it. Up the presentation with cheap tech and they'll use it.

Enable better ponts and more meaningful talks.

US news sites during an election are the perfect situation comedy.

Yet Another Universal 3D Browser

Yet Another Universal 3D Browser. That announcement is made how many times a year? The vendor-side of the market is genuninely uninterested in a universal 3D browser. At some point, this quits being a selling point because it begs the argument. A universal client is, well, universal, meaning the install statistics are well, universal.

So far that's Flash. Que lastima.

Without common language standards, these client announcements are hokum. One wonders if the industry will ever come to the realization that slicking the press while the customers yawn makes the industry look bad.
