Congratulations to the Media Machines crew on receiving $9.4 million dollars of financing for their company. I've posted several blogs here this year with examples of X3D running on the Media Machines Flux Viewer and work constructed with the Flux editor. Tony Parisi has been a pioneer in the 3D on the Web from the very start of VRML.
The article referenced described them as a virtual worlds company and that is good for the current zeitgeist. On the other hand, the Flux Viewer and editor is applicable to other 3D on the Web applications such as visualization. It is this flexibility of X3D that is fundamental to its status as the international standard for 3D on the web as evidenced by the many applications emerging from this and other companies. Go to the Web 3D site for articles showing these.
Way to go, Tony and Keith and the rest of your team!

Congratulations to Toni Parisi. I get help from him at USENET many times. He's a nice persona with great ability to explain the most complex things. I think vrml may be impossible to exist without Parisi.
